What a ride.

Boy, am I glad that I have a basement! We had some really bad storms roll through Indiana last night. I had laid down after taking a pain pill when Chris woke me about 7pm to take my blood thinners. I noticed it had gotten increasingly dark outside, so I turned the channel over to the Weather Channel. There was a whole line of severe and nasty looking thunderstorms marching across the state from the north tip all the way down to the southern tip of Indiana. I know that the Final Four is going on this weekend, so the visitors to our fair state got a taste of Springtime storms. What hospitality, huh? The only bad thing is that there were at least two tornadoes last night. Luckily none came our way, though the winds were bad enough to warrant the blasting of our emergency sirens. I wholeheartedly believe that we are in for a rough year weather wise this year. It's just something I feel deep down and kinda scares me to be honest. But no matter. I have things prepared and a good basement now instead of living in an apartment with nothing to shelter me.

Today the weather is on the chilly side with lots of grey clouds and barely any sunshine coming through. My back is still giving me fits and I have had several muscle cramps here as of late. I know my potassium level is low because I always cramp up when it is. Eating a banana helped them to go away. Since it's so cloudy and icky outside, I've been organizing the project that I want to complete before Mother's Day. I'm going to also be working on my story some today. I really haven't much else to do other than housework. That's going to take me a long while. I usually do what I can before I feel as though I need to sit down. Then I rest for about 15 minutes or so before continuing with what I was doing. It's a slow way to get things done but it's how I've had to adapt to doing things. Even laundry takes all my strength any more. Pacing myself is the only way I can really make sure that things get done. Until Chris gets re-adjusted to working again, he's going to need a lot of rest and therefore I need to pick up the slack a little. I hope to also finish the last LOTR book sometime this coming week. So far I'm nearing 20 books being read since the start of the year. Almost half way to my goal. So I'm off to go through the emails and do a few posts. Then it's back to the grind for a bit. :) Take care all. Oh, and "J", I'm still keeping you in my thoughts, darlin. Hang in there.

Love and blessings,
Kim
